Eastern Georgian Bay is an environmental gem and a region of global ecological significance. It lies in the heart of Anishinaabek Territory and the SCA boundaries fall within the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve. It is part of the largest freshwater archipelago on the planet, made up of more than 30,000 islands, with over 40,000 kms of shoreline. The result is a spectacular array of terrestrial and aquatic biological diversity.
We can’t rely on government policy alone to protect the area. As individuals and families we have to take responsibility and do our part. There are so many ways you can help.

The SCA hopes to be a resource you can use to help maintain, and improve, the health of this amazing ecosystem.
